Wallcoverings

A special area of our studio in the Designer/Builder Resource Center is dedicated to wallcoverings – a vast array of wallcoverings giving you thousands of home decor/interior design options. Come on in. Look around. And order the styles you want.

You’ll see wallcoverings showcased throughout our studio – in the vignettes, where you can get a clear look and understanding of the application ... in our volumes of wallcovering books ... and in smaller displays in our wallcoverings area.

What you’ll discover very quickly is that our in-house stock of wallcoverings is anything but “stock.” We offer distinctive, unusual, often one-of-a-kind wallcoverings, representing a wide range of styles, themes, materials, and prices.

• wallcoverings that mimic the customized, faux-finish look of hand-painting but without the hand-painted price – either from stock or our own, original design.
• trendy, fashion-forward wallcoverings of paper, vinyl, wood, fabric, and strikingly offbeat combinations of materials.
• environmentally friendly, “green” wallcoverings made of renewable resources like cork. for instance. (Check out our dedicated Green Room – an ideal way to see environmentally friendly home decor products effectively applied in a coordinated, appealing way.)
• so-called “string” wallcoverings of various grasses and other such materials – very popular.

Best of all, we offer the services of one of the very best wallcovering installers in the region – John Mitchell, a true artisan who can take wallcoverings and apply them in such a way that they look nothing like what people think of as wallpaper. His work with our customized faux-finish applications – textures, painted  looks, metallics, and so on – is extraordinary. John also excels in fabricating remarkably real-looking fake brick or stone out of a variety of materials he builds up in layers. He’s a home decor idea man, and it shows in his own highly inventive work as well as his handling of our other designers’ creations.
